Kering was established as Verdania's capital following the Power Shift. Not only does this hub of culture enjoy High King Ischis' special protection, it boasts the finest magical school in Verdania.

The city has also become famous for its Festival of Conquerors, celebrating the downfall of the tyrant Alexander Inathius and his human usurpers.
